Setting Up a Home Theatre
So, you have finally decided on the set up that you want to have for your home theatre. But before you go and buy your equipment and supplies, you have to figure out how to prepare your entertainment room first. Make a plan on the necessary arrangement and on where to put the equipment. Consider the following tips so that you can accomplish the task fast and hassle-free.
First, choose the best location for this purpose. The ideal room would be the one with the least number of doors and windows so that ambient light and sound are minimised.
Next, identify the best position for your entertainment appliances. When you put in the TV or projector, do not place it across a door or a window. The glare of the light coming in will definitely affect your viewing experience.
Lastly, provide the place with the necessary furnishings. If your budget allows it, have the area soundproofed and put some carpeting on the floor to keep the noise confined within the room. As for the lighting, you can follow what the cinemas do; use dim lights, especially when watching movies, to keep people’s attention on the screen. And to complete the set up, bring in the necessary furniture. Arrange the sofas, chairs and tables neatly, or in a manner that everyone will be able to see the screen clearly and comfortably when seated.
